Ascended Heroes Deluxe Pin Collection

The Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes First Partners Deluxe Pin Collection brings together three beloved starter Pokémon, exclusive foil promo cards, a collectible deluxe pin, and booster packs from the Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes expansion.

Featuring Chikorita, Tepig, and Totodile, this collection celebrates the excitement of choosing your first partner Pokémon before beginning a new adventure.

Released on March 20, 2026, the collection includes three foil promo cards, one deluxe pin featuring the same trio, and five Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes booster packs. 

For collectors, the combination of exclusive promos and a physical Pokémon pin makes this more than a standard booster product. It is a compact collection centered around three starter Pokémon from different generations.

What Is the Ascended Heroes Deluxe Pin Collection?

The Ascended Heroes Deluxe Pin Collection is a special Pokémon TCG collection released as part of the Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes product lineup.

The theme is first partner Pokémon.

Inside the box, Chikorita represents the Grass type, Tepig represents the Fire type, and Totodile represents the Water type. All three appear as foil promo cards and together on a glossy deluxe pin. 

The collection also includes five booster packs from Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes.

Ascended Heroes Deluxe Pin Collection Contents

Each collection contains:

3 foil promo cards
- Chikorita
- Tepig
- Totodile
1 deluxe pin featuring Chikorita, Tepig, and Totodile
5 Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes booster packs

These are the contents listed on the official Pokémon product page. 

Chikorita, Tepig, and Totodile Take Center Stage

The most distinctive feature of this collection is the trio of first partner Pokémon.

Rather than focusing on one Pokémon, the box brings together three starters from different Pokémon regions.

Chikorita

Chikorita is the Grass-type first partner from the Johto region.

Its gentle design and recognizable leaf make it an immediately identifiable member of the starter Pokémon family.

In this collection, Chikorita appears as one of the three foil promo cards and is also included on the deluxe pin.

Tepig

Tepig is the Fire-type first partner from the Unova region.

The small Fire-type Pokémon brings a different personality and design to the collection.

Its promo card gives collectors another exclusive card to add to a starter-focused collection.

Totodile

Totodile is the Water-type first partner from Johto.

Its energetic design makes it a natural companion to Chikorita, the other Johto starter represented in the collection.

Totodile also appears on the deluxe pin alongside Chikorita and Tepig.

The Three Foil Promo Cards

The three included promo cards are an important part of the collection.

Unlike cards pulled randomly from the booster packs, these three promos are specifically included in the box.

The lineup consists of:

Chikorita foil promo
Tepig foil promo
Totodile foil promo

This makes the collection particularly straightforward for collectors who want these three promotional cards without relying on booster-pack pulls.

The three cards also create a small themed set within the larger Ascended Heroes product lineup.

The Deluxe Pokémon Pin

The collection also includes a deluxe pin featuring Chikorita, Tepig, and Totodile together.

According to Pokémon, the pin has a glossy enamel finish. 

For Pokémon merchandise collectors, this adds a physical collectible that can be displayed separately from the cards.

The pin could be displayed on:

A Pokémon pin board
A backpack
A display case
A jacket or bag
A Pokémon collection shelf

The three-Pokémon design also matches the promo-card theme, creating a consistent look across the collection.

Five Ascended Heroes Deluxe Pin Collection

The box contains five booster packs from Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes. 

The expansion launched on January 30, 2026, and contains more than 290 cards. Pokémon describes the set as featuring new and returning Mega Evolution Pokémon ex alongside Trainer’s Pokémon and Stellar Tera Pokémon ex. 

This gives the Deluxe Pin Collection a second collecting element beyond the guaranteed promo cards.

The five packs can contain cards from across the Ascended Heroes expansion, including different rarities and Pokémon.

As with other Pokémon TCG booster packs, the contents are randomized, so the five packs do not guarantee a specific card.

What Is Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes Deluxe Pin Collection?

Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes Deluxe Pin Collection is a major Pokémon TCG expansion released in 2026.

The set combines several themes, including:

Mega Evolution Pokémon ex
Trainer’s Pokémon
Stellar Tera Pokémon ex
New Pokémon cards
Special Illustration cards
More than 290 cards overall

Pokémon specifically highlights Mega Dragonite ex among the newly discovered Mega Evolution Pokémon ex featured in the expansion. 

The set also includes more than 30 Trainer cards and more than 30 Pokémon and Trainer cards with special illustrations. 

Why Ascended Heroes Deluxe Pin Collection Matter

Choosing a Ascended Heroes Deluxe Pin Collection is one of the most recognizable traditions in the Pokémon games.

Players usually begin their adventure by choosing between different starter Pokémon, often representing Grass, Fire, and Water types.

The Ascended Heroes Deluxe Pin Collection celebrates this idea by bringing together:

Chikorita — Grass
Tepig — Fire
Totodile — Water

This makes the collection different from products centered on a single Pokémon or a single Mega Evolution.

It is built around the idea of starting an adventure with a trusted partner.

A Collection for Starter Pokémon Fans

The three promo cards make this product particularly relevant to collectors who enjoy starter Pokémon.

Instead of opening packs hoping to find a particular starter, the collection provides Chikorita, Tepig, and Totodile as part of the box contents.

That gives the product a clear collecting theme.

You can collect the three promos together or display them alongside other starter Pokémon cards from different generations.

A Collection for Pin Collectors

The deluxe pin also gives the product appeal outside the traditional Pokémon TCG.

Pin collectors can add the three-Pokémon design to a broader Pokémon merchandise collection.

The pin is also a physical reminder of the product’s theme, while the booster packs and promo cards provide the traditional trading card component.

This combination makes the product suitable for people who collect both Pokémon cards and Pokémon merchandise.

Opening the Five Booster Packs

The five booster packs create an additional opening experience.

While the three promos are guaranteed contents of the box, the booster packs introduce an element of randomness.

You might open cards that complement your existing collection, discover new Pokémon, or find higher-rarity cards from Ascended Heroes.

For collectors, this means the product offers both:

Guaranteed collectibles

Chikorita promo
Tepig promo
Totodile promo
Deluxe pin

Randomized collectibles

Five Ascended Heroes booster packs

That combination is one of the defining features of the collection.

Ascended Heroes Deluxe Pin Collection for New Collectors

For someone new to the Pokémon TCG, this product provides a simple introduction to the hobby.

There are three guaranteed promo cards, a physical Pokémon collectible, and five booster packs to open.

A new collector can therefore experience several parts of the hobby in one product:

Collecting promo cards
Opening booster packs
Learning about Pokémon rarities
Displaying Pokémon merchandise
Organizing a card collection

The starter theme also makes the product easy to understand.

Ascended Heroes Deluxe Pin Collection for Experienced Collectors

Experienced collectors may approach the product differently.

The three promo cards can be added to an existing collection, while the pin can become part of a Pokémon merchandise display.

The five booster packs can either be opened or kept sealed depending on the collector’s collecting goals.

The collection can also complement other Ascended Heroes products released around the same expansion.

Ascended Heroes Deluxe Pin Collection and the Mega Evolution Era

Mega Evolution is a major theme of the modern Pokémon TCG.

Ascended Heroes continues this direction by featuring Mega Evolution Pokémon ex alongside other Pokémon categories.

Pokémon announced the expansion as part of the Mega Evolution Series, with the set launching on January 30, 2026. 

The Deluxe Pin Collection therefore connects a classic Pokémon concept—choosing your first partner—with the modern Mega Evolution era.

That creates an interesting combination of nostalgia and current Pokémon TCG design.

How the Deluxe Pin Collection Compares With a Booster Bundle

Both products provide Ascended Heroes booster packs, but their contents are different.

Feature	Deluxe Pin Collection	Booster Bundle
Ascended Heroes booster packs	5	6
Guaranteed promo cards	3	No
Deluxe pin	Yes	No
Starter Pokémon theme	Yes	No
Main focus	Promos + pin + packs	Booster packs

The Deluxe Pin Collection has fewer booster packs than a six-pack Booster Bundle but adds three guaranteed promo cards and a deluxe pin.

How to Display the Collection

If you are collecting the product rather than immediately opening everything, there are several ways to display its components.

The three promo cards can be placed together in a binder page.

The deluxe pin can be displayed beside them on a pin board or display stand.

You can also keep the sealed booster packs with the cards to preserve the complete product theme.

For a starter Pokémon collection, Chikorita, Tepig, and Totodile can also be displayed alongside other Grass-, Fire-, and Water-type starter Pokémon.
