Pokémon Ascended Heroes Premium Poster Collection: Price, Contents, Value & Review
Oct
The product is available in two versions: Mega Lucario ex and Mega Gardevoir ex. Each version features its own promotional card and matching poster artwork, making both options attractive to fans of these popular Mega Evolution Pokémon.
However, the collection’s popularity has also created a gap between its original retail price and some reseller listings. Before buying one, it is important to understand what comes inside, how the two versions differ, which cards you might pull, and whether the current asking price makes sense.
In this guide, we explore the product’s contents, original retail price, current market value, collecting potential, and practical buying advice.
What Is the Pokémon Ascended Heroes Premium Poster Collection?
The Ascended Heroes Premium Poster Collection is a Pokémon Trading Card Game product released as part of the Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes expansion.
Unlike an Elite Trainer Box, which focuses on booster packs and gameplay accessories, this collection combines booster packs with a large poster and a featured promotional card.
Its appeal comes from three main elements:
- Ten booster packs from the Ascended Heroes expansion.
- One foil promotional card featuring Mega Lucario ex or Mega Gardevoir ex.
- One large, double-sided poster featuring artwork from the expansion.
The product was released on March 20, 2026, with an original US retail price of approximately $49.99.
The poster measures approximately 26.875 × 39 inches, making it a substantial display piece for a bedroom, gaming room, office, or Pokémon collection space.

What Comes Inside the Ascended Heroes Premium Poster Collection?
Each collection includes a combination of trading cards and display material. Although the Mega Lucario and Mega Gardevoir versions have different featured Pokémon, they follow the same basic product format.
1. Ten Ascended Heroes Booster Packs
Each box contains 10 booster packs from the Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes expansion.
These packs allow collectors to discover cards from the expansion, including Pokémon ex cards, illustration rares, special illustration rares, and other collectible rarities.
Depending on your pulls, you might find cards featuring popular Pokémon such as Mega Dragonite ex, Mega Gengar ex, Mega Lucario ex, and Mega Gardevoir ex.
However, booster packs contain randomized cards. There is no guarantee that a particular box will contain a specific chase card or that the value of the cards pulled will equal the purchase price.
For collectors who enjoy opening packs, the 10-pack configuration offers a substantial opening experience.
2. One Exclusive Foil Promotional Card
The promotional card is one of the collection’s main attractions.
The Mega Lucario version includes a foil promo featuring Mega Lucario ex, while the Mega Gardevoir version includes a foil promo featuring Mega Gardevoir ex.
These cards are included as fixed promotional items rather than random pulls from the booster packs.
That distinction matters to collectors who want to own a particular Pokémon. If you specifically want the Mega Lucario promo, check that the seller is offering the Mega Lucario version rather than a randomly selected collection.
Likewise, collectors who prefer Mega Gardevoir should verify that the listing includes the correct version.
3. One Large Double-Sided Poster
The collection includes a double-sided poster measuring approximately 26.875 × 39 inches.
The poster features artwork connected to the Ascended Heroes expansion, with the Mega Lucario and Mega Gardevoir versions offering different designs.
This is a major difference between the Premium Poster Collection and products that focus almost entirely on booster packs.
The poster can be displayed in several ways:
- In a bedroom or gaming room.
- In a Pokémon-themed office.
- On a collector’s display wall.
- Inside a hobby room alongside framed Pokémon cards.
- As part of a larger Mega Evolution collection.
If you plan to display the poster, consider using a frame or suitable protective sleeve. This can help reduce creases, dust, and accidental damage.
4. One Pokémon TCG Live Code Card
Each box also includes a code card for Pokémon TCG Live.
This provides a digital component alongside the physical cards and poster.
The exact digital redemption experience may depend on the platform and the code’s eligibility, so check the applicable redemption instructions before attempting to use it.
Complete Contents Checklist
| Included item | Quantity |
|---|---|
| Ascended Heroes booster packs | 10 |
| Foil promotional card | 1 |
| Double-sided poster | 1 |
| Pokémon TCG Live code card | 1 |
The collection does not include the extensive set of accessories found in some Elite Trainer Boxes, such as card sleeves, Energy cards, and damage-counter dice.
Its primary focus is booster packs, promotional artwork, and the poster.
Mega Lucario vs. Mega Gardevoir: Which Version Should You Buy?
The two versions contain the same number of booster packs and the same basic product components. The main differences are the featured Pokémon, promotional card, and poster artwork.
Mega Lucario Premium Poster Collection
Mega Lucario is an appealing choice for collectors who enjoy Fighting-type Pokémon and Lucario’s distinctive design.
Lucario has a strong presence in the Pokémon franchise, including video games, animated series, and competitive Pokémon battles.
The Mega Lucario version is particularly suitable for collectors who want to build a display around Mega Evolution Pokémon or who already collect Lucario cards.
Best for: Lucario fans, Mega Evolution collectors, and anyone who prefers the Mega Lucario artwork.
Mega Gardevoir Premium Poster Collection
Mega Gardevoir offers a different aesthetic, with an elegant design that appeals to collectors who prefer Gardevoir and its Mega Evolution form.
Gardevoir has a substantial fan base, and its cards often attract interest from collectors who appreciate character-focused artwork.
The Mega Gardevoir version can also fit well into a collection focused on Psychic-type Pokémon or visually distinctive Mega Evolution cards.
Best for: Gardevoir fans, collectors of Psychic-type Pokémon, and anyone who prefers the Mega Gardevoir promo and poster.
Version Comparison
| Feature | Mega Lucario version | Mega Gardevoir version |
|---|---|---|
| Booster packs | 10 | 10 |
| Promotional card | Mega Lucario ex | Mega Gardevoir ex |
| Poster | Version-specific artwork | Version-specific artwork |
| Original US MSRP | $49.99 | $49.99 |
| Best suited for | Lucario collectors | Gardevoir collectors |
Neither version automatically offers better value. The best choice depends on which promotional card and poster you prefer, along with the price and condition of the box.
If you want both versions, compare the combined price with the cost of buying them separately.
Ascended Heroes Premium Poster Collection Price in 2026
Price is one of the most important factors to consider when purchasing this product.
The original US retail price was approximately $49.99 per collection. However, some retailers and secondary-market sellers have listed the product at substantially higher prices.
A market snapshot from October 2026 showed some individual versions listed around $199.99 on Best Buy’s website, while another retailer listing advertised the product at $200. These are asking prices, not proof that every box sells at those levels.
The difference between retail and resale pricing can be significant, so compare multiple listings before making a purchase.
Price Reference Table
| Price category | Approximate price |
|---|---|
| Original US retail price | $49.99 |
| Example reseller listings | $119.99–$200 |
| Example higher-priced listings | Above $200 |
| Actual purchase price | Depends on availability, seller, and version |
These figures are examples of observed listings, not a verified average of completed sales. Prices can vary by version, market, stock availability, and seller.
Why Is the Price Higher Than MSRP?
Several factors may contribute to the difference between the original retail price and current listings.
1. Demand for Ascended Heroes
The expansion includes a large selection of cards, including Mega Evolution Pokémon ex and special illustration cards. Collectors may want multiple products to increase their chances of obtaining particular cards.
2. Ten Booster Packs
The collection contains 10 booster packs, making it attractive to people who want to open several packs in one sitting.
3. Promotional Cards
The Mega Lucario ex and Mega Gardevoir ex promos give each version a distinct collectible feature.
4. Poster Artwork
The large poster adds display value for fans who want more than trading cards.
5. Limited Availability at Retail Price
When a product becomes difficult to find at its original retail price, some sellers may charge a premium.
However, a high listing price does not necessarily mean the product is worth that amount. Actual completed sales provide a more useful indication of what buyers are willing to pay.
Is the Ascended Heroes Premium Poster Collection Worth Buying?
The collection can be worthwhile, but its value depends on your collecting goals and the price you pay.
At its original retail price, the combination of 10 booster packs, a promotional card, and a large poster makes it an appealing product for many Pokémon fans.
At a substantial markup, you need to consider whether those items justify the additional cost.
Reasons to Buy
You enjoy opening booster packs. Ten packs provide a substantial opening session and opportunities to find cards from the expansion.
You collect Mega Evolution Pokémon. The featured Mega Lucario ex or Mega Gardevoir ex promo gives the box a clear collecting theme.
You want Pokémon artwork for display. The double-sided poster is a useful extra for collectors who enjoy decorating their space.
You want both physical and digital collecting options. The code card adds a digital element to the physical collection.
You are building a broader Ascended Heroes collection. The poster collection can complement Elite Trainer Boxes, booster bundles, tins, and other products from the expansion.
Reasons to Think Twice
The resale price is too high. Paying several times MSRP can make the product difficult to justify financially.
You only want specific cards. Buying individual singles may be more economical than opening randomized booster packs.
You do not want the poster. If the artwork has little value to you, part of the product’s appeal may be wasted.
You expect guaranteed profit. Neither the sealed product nor its booster packs guarantee a financial return.
Who Should Buy It?
| Buyer type | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| Mega Lucario collector | Consider the Lucario version |
| Mega Gardevoir collector | Consider the Gardevoir version |
| Booster-pack opener | Compare its price with other products containing Ascended Heroes packs |
| Poster and merchandise collector | Attractive if you like the artwork |
| New Pokémon TCG collector | Consider it at a reasonable price |
| Short-term investor | Be cautious about high resale prices |
My recommendation is to prioritize the version you genuinely like and avoid paying a large premium simply because the product is popular.
Best Cards to Look for in Ascended Heroes
The promotional card is guaranteed, but the booster packs contain randomized cards from the expansion.
For collectors, understanding the expansion’s sought-after cards can help make the opening experience more interesting.
Mega Dragonite ex
Mega Dragonite ex is one of the notable Pokémon associated with the Ascended Heroes expansion.
Collectors interested in Mega Evolution cards may look for desirable versions featuring this Pokémon, particularly cards with special artwork or higher rarities.
Mega Gengar ex
Gengar has a strong fan following, and Mega Gengar ex is another name collectors may look for when opening Ascended Heroes packs.
As with other chase cards, the exact value depends on the card version, condition, language, and market demand.
Mega Lucario ex
Mega Lucario ex is particularly relevant to buyers of the Lucario Premium Poster Collection.
Collectors may want to compare the included promo with other Mega Lucario cards available in the expansion. The guaranteed promo and randomized booster-pack cards should not be confused with one another.
Mega Gardevoir ex
Mega Gardevoir ex is similarly relevant to buyers of the Gardevoir version.
The collection’s guaranteed promotional card is a fixed item, but any additional Mega Gardevoir cards found in booster packs depend on the randomized contents.
Other Special Illustration Cards
The wider Ascended Heroes expansion contains multiple rarities and special illustrations.
Collectors may also be interested in other Pokémon ex cards, illustration rares, and special illustration rares.
Important: These are examples of cards and Pokémon to research within the expansion, not a guarantee that any particular card will appear in your box.
Before buying a product for one specific chase card, compare the price of purchasing that card individually with the cost of opening booster packs.
Premium Poster Collection vs. Elite Trainer Box vs. Booster Bundle
Ascended Heroes offers several products, so the Premium Poster Collection is not the only way to obtain its booster packs.
| Feature | Premium Poster Collection | Elite Trainer Box | Booster Bundle |
|---|---|---|---|
| Booster packs | 10 | 9 in the standard version | 6 |
| Featured promo | Mega Lucario ex or Mega Gardevoir ex | N’s Zekrom in the standard version | No equivalent featured promo |
| Poster | Yes | No | No |
| Card sleeves | No | Yes | No |
| Energy cards | No | Yes | No |
| Gameplay accessories | No full ETB accessory set | Yes | No |
| Best for | Poster and promo collectors | Players and collectors | Pack-focused buyers |
The Premium Poster Collection is a good fit for collectors who value its artwork and promotional card.
The standard Elite Trainer Box may be more suitable for players who need sleeves, Energy cards, dice, and storage accessories.
A Booster Bundle may be preferable if your main objective is simply to open packs without paying for additional display items.
Compare current prices rather than relying solely on the number of packs. A product with fewer packs can still offer value if it includes items you particularly want.
Should You Open the Collection or Keep It Sealed?
Collectors often debate whether to open a premium Pokémon product or preserve it in its original packaging.
Both choices can make sense.
Reasons to Open It
Opening the collection allows you to enjoy all 10 booster packs, examine the promotional card, and use or display the poster.
This is a good option if you bought the product for entertainment or want to add the included items to your collection.
You can also protect the promo card separately using an appropriate sleeve and card holder.
However, opening the box does not guarantee that the cards you pull will be worth more than the sealed product.
Reasons to Keep It Sealed
Keeping the collection sealed preserves its original presentation and the unopened booster packs.
Some collectors prefer sealed products because they enjoy displaying complete boxes from particular expansions.
If you choose this option, store the box in a dry location away from direct sunlight, moisture, and pressure.
A suitable protective case can help reduce dust and accidental damage.
Which Option Is Better Financially?
Neither option guarantees a profit.
A sealed box may command a premium if demand remains strong, but resale prices can also decline.
Opening the box gives you randomized cards that may or may not have substantial market value.
If financial return is your priority, compare recent completed sales and account for shipping, selling fees, taxes, and the time required to find a buyer.
If you mainly want to enjoy Pokémon collecting, choose the option that gives you the most satisfaction.
Buying the Ascended Heroes Premium Poster Collection in Cameroon
Collectors in Cameroon may need to purchase the collection through international retailers, specialist trading-card stores, or local resellers.
When shopping from Douala or elsewhere in Cameroon, remember that the displayed product price may not include the cost of getting it to you.
Calculate Your Total Landed Cost
Before ordering, account for:
- Ascended Heroes Premium Poster Collection
- International shipping.
- Shipping insurance, where available.
- Applicable customs duties and taxes.
- Freight-forwarding or handling charges.
- Local delivery costs.
For example, a product advertised for $150 may cost significantly more after shipping and import expenses.
Convert the final amount into CFA francs using the exchange rate and payment fees applicable to your transaction.
How to Check Whether a Listing Is Reliable
Use these checks before paying:
- Verify the exact version. Confirm whether the box features Mega Lucario or Mega Gardevoir.
- Request actual product photographs. Ask to see the box, seals, corners, and packaging.
- Review the seller’s reputation. Look for a history of completed transactions and credible customer feedback.
- Confirm the condition. A sealed box with damaged corners may not suit a collector seeking a pristine display item.
- Use a protected payment method. Read the applicable buyer-protection terms before transferring money.
- Confirm shipping arrangements. Ask about tracking, insurance, estimated delivery, and the process for reporting damage.
Do not assume that a product is authentic just because the seller charges a premium price.
How to Store the Poster and Promotional Card
If you intend to preserve the collection, a little care can help maintain the condition of its contents.
Protect the Promotional Card
Use a suitable card sleeve to protect the promo from scratches and handling damage.
If you place the card in a rigid holder, make sure the holder is designed for standard trading cards and does not put pressure on the card’s edges.
Store the Poster Carefully
Avoid folding the poster unnecessarily, as creases can affect its appearance.
If you want to display it, consider a suitable frame or poster protector. Make sure the material used for storage or display is appropriate for long-term paper preservation.
Keep the Sealed Box Dry
Cardboard packaging can be damaged by moisture.
Store the box in a dry place with relatively stable conditions. Avoid areas exposed to leaks, condensation, or direct sunlight.
Avoid Heavy Pressure
Do not stack heavy objects on the box or place it where it could be crushed.
This is especially important if you intend to preserve the packaging in collectible condition.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Mistake 1: Confusing the two versions. The Mega Lucario and Mega Gardevoir collections have different promotional cards and poster artwork. Verify which version you are buying.
Mistake 2: Treating asking prices as confirmed market value. A seller’s listed price does not prove that buyers are paying that amount.
Mistake 3: Expecting guaranteed chase cards. The 10 booster packs contain randomized cards.
Mistake 4: Ignoring shipping and import costs. The final price in Cameroon may be considerably higher than the online listing.
Mistake 5: Paying a premium without comparing alternatives. Check the price of the standard Elite Trainer Box, Booster Bundle, and individual cards before deciding.
Mistake 6: Assuming prices will always increase. Collectible markets can fluctuate, and there is no guaranteed investment return.
