Pokémon Hidden Fates Tin

The Pokémon TCG: Hidden Fates Tin is one of the most recognizable products from the Sun & Moon era of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Released in 2019, these tins combine popular Pokémon-GX promo cards with booster packs from the special Hidden Fates expansion.

The Hidden Fates Tin was released in three main versions featuring Charizard-GX, Gyarados-GX, and Raichu-GX. Each tin contains a foil Pokémon-GX promo card, four Hidden Fates booster packs, and a code card for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online.

What Is the Pokémon Hidden Fates Tin?

The Pokémon Hidden Fates Tin is a special Pokémon TCG product released alongside the Hidden Fates expansion in 2019.

Rather than featuring a single Pokémon, the original Hidden Fates Tin collection was available in three versions:

• Charizard-GX
• Gyarados-GX
• Raichu-GX

Each version has its own foil Pokémon-GX card while maintaining the same basic product configuration. Collectors could choose a favorite Pokémon or collect all three tins as a complete set.

What Comes Inside a pokemon hidden fates tin?

Each original Hidden Fates Tin contains:

• 1 foil Pokémon-GX promo card
• 4 Hidden Fates booster packs
• 1 code card for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online
• 1 collectible metal tin

The Pokémon-GX card depends on the tin version. You can receive Charizard-GX, Gyarados-GX, or Raichu-GX.

The four booster packs are particularly important because Hidden Fates was a special expansion with a strong emphasis on Shiny Pokémon.

The Three pokemon hidden fates tin Versions

The three main tins give collectors different Pokémon to choose from.

Charizard-GX Tin

The Charizard-GX Tin is built around one of the most recognizable Pokémon in the franchise.

Charizard has long been one of the most collected Pokémon in the TCG, and this Hidden Fates version gives collectors a dedicated Charizard-GX promo alongside four Hidden Fates booster packs.

For fans building a Charizard collection, the tin can be a natural addition to a broader collection of Charizard cards and sealed products.

Gyarados-GX Tin

The Gyarados-GX Tin brings the powerful Water-type Pokémon into the Hidden Fates product line.

Gyarados has a long history in the Pokémon TCG, making this version appealing to collectors who prefer Gyarados or Water-type Pokémon.

Like the other versions, it includes four Hidden Fates booster packs and a foil Gyarados-GX promo card.

Raichu-GX Tin

The Raichu-GX Tin features the evolved form of Pikachu.

Raichu’s connection to one of Pokémon’s most recognizable characters gives this version a distinct place among the three tins. It also contains the same four Hidden Fates booster packs as the Charizard-GX and Gyarados-GX versions.

For collectors, having all three tins creates a complete Hidden Fates Tin display.

Why Is pokemon hidden fates tin So Popular?

The popularity of the Hidden Fates Tin is closely connected to the expansion itself.

Hidden Fates was designed around many popular Pokémon and introduced a large collection of Shiny Pokémon. According to Pokémon’s official information, the expansion contains over 150 cards and more than 75 Shiny Pokémon.

Some notable cards associated with the expansion include:

• Shiny Charizard-GX
• Shiny Mewtwo-GX
• Shiny Umbreon-GX
• Shiny Eevee
• Moltres & Zapdos & Articuno-GX
• Shiny Vault Pokémon

The Shiny Pokémon portion of Hidden Fates is one of the major reasons collectors continue to search for sealed products from the expansion.

The Hidden pokemon hidden fates tin Shiny Vault

One of the defining features of Hidden Fates is the Shiny Vault.

Instead of limiting the expansion to its standard card lineup, Hidden Fates included a large collection of Shiny Pokémon. These cards gave collectors another set to chase beyond the regular numbered cards.

The official Pokémon website specifically highlights the presence of more than 75 Shiny Pokémon, including Shiny Mewtwo-GX and Shiny Charizard-GX.

This creates a different opening experience from a conventional Pokémon expansion. A collector opening a Hidden Fates booster pack may be searching not only for regular Pokémon-GX cards but also for one of the set’s distinctive Shiny Pokémon.

What Can You Pull From Hidden Fates Booster Packs?

The four booster packs inside a Hidden Fates Tin are the main source of excitement for collectors who open the product.

Because the packs are randomized, there is no guarantee of pulling a particular card.

However, Hidden Fates offers several categories of cards that collectors may be interested in, including:

• Pokémon-GX
• Shiny Pokémon
• Shiny Pokémon-GX
• Trainer cards
• Full-art cards
• TAG TEAM Pokémon-GX
• Other rare and holographic cards

The official expansion includes the first TAG TEAM trio featuring Moltres & Zapdos & Articuno-GX, along with eight additional new Pokémon-GX and more than 75 Shiny Pokémon.

Hidden Fates Tin for Collectors

The Hidden Fates Tin works particularly well as a collector product because it offers several things in one package.

First, there are the three different tin designs. Second, each tin contains a dedicated Pokémon-GX promo. Finally, the four booster packs provide an opportunity to open cards from the Hidden Fates expansion.

Collectors can approach the product in different ways.

Some may want to collect all three sealed tins. Others may prefer to open the packs and keep the tins as storage containers.

For sealed collectors, keeping the original shrink wrap and packaging in good condition can be important.

Why Keep a pokemon hidden fates tin Sealed?

A sealed Hidden Fates Tin preserves the original product presentation.

The unopened tin displays the featured Pokémon while keeping the booster packs and promo card inside. This makes sealed tins useful for collectors who enjoy displaying products from specific Pokémon TCG eras.

However, future value is never guaranteed. The Pokémon TCG market can change based on supply, demand, card availability, condition, and collector interest.

A sealed product is therefore best treated as a collectible first rather than a guaranteed investment.

Why Open a pokemon hidden fates tin?

Opening the tin offers a completely different experience.

You immediately get access to the featured Pokémon-GX promo and then have four Hidden Fates booster packs to open.

The excitement comes from not knowing what the packs contain.

You could pull a Shiny Pokémon, a Pokémon-GX, a Trainer card, or another card you need for your collection.

The metal tin can then be reused to store:

• Pokémon cards
• Sleeves
• Dice
• Damage counters
• Coins
• Other small TCG accessories

Hidden pokemon hidden fates tin as a Gift

The Hidden Fates Tin can also make a memorable gift for a Pokémon TCG collector.

The three versions provide an easy way to personalize the product around the recipient’s favorite Pokémon.

You could choose:

Charizard-GX for a Charizard collector.

Gyarados-GX for a fan of powerful Water-type Pokémon.

Raichu-GX for someone who enjoys Pikachu’s evolution line.

The four Hidden Fates booster packs then add an element of surprise to the gift.

Hidden Fates Tin vs. Other Hidden Fates Products

The Hidden Fates Tin was only one part of the broader Hidden Fates product range.

Other products included the Hidden Fates Poké Ball Collection and the Hidden Fates Ultra-Premium Collection.

For example, the Hidden Fates Poké Ball Collection included 10 Hidden Fates booster packs, a full-art Shiny Pokémon-GX card, a Great Ball or Ultra Ball accessory, and a Pokémon TCG Online code card.

The Hidden Fates Ultra-Premium Collection went even further, including 15 Hidden Fates booster packs, three full-art foil cards, a card holder, a playmat, and a code card.

The Hidden Fates Tin is much more compact, making it an accessible format for collectors who want a smaller sealed product.

How to Store a pokemon hidden fates tin

If you have a sealed Hidden Fates Tin, proper storage can help protect the product’s condition.

Keep it:

• Away from direct sunlight
• In a cool, dry environment
