For collectors searching for the Pitch Black Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box, this guide covers the contents, booster packs, exclusive promos, featured Pokémon, and differences between the Pokémon Center and standard versions.

What Is the Pitch Black Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box?

The Mega Evolution—Pitch Black Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box is the premium Pokémon Center version of the standard Pitch Black ETB.

It is designed for collectors and players who want booster packs from the Pitch Black expansion together with themed accessories. The Pokémon Center edition also includes two additional booster packs compared with the standard ETB and two full-art Zarude promos.

The official contents include:

• 11 Mega Evolution—Pitch Black booster packs
• 1 full-art foil Zarude promo with a Pokémon Center logo
• 1 additional full-art foil Zarude promo
• 65 card sleeves
• 40 Pokémon TCG Energy cards
• A player’s guide
• 6 damage-counter dice
• 1 competition-legal coin-flip die
• 1 plastic Pokémon coin
• A collector’s box
• 6 dividers
• 1 Pokémon TCG Live code card

This makes the product more than a booster pack bundle. It combines sealed cards, exclusive promotional cards, and practical TCG accessories in one collector-focused box.

Pitch Black Pokemon Center Elite Trainer Box Enter the Darkness

The Pitch Black expansion has a distinctive theme. The set introduces a darker atmosphere built around Mega Evolution Pokémon emerging from the shadows.

Mega Darkrai ex is one of the main Pokémon featured in the expansion. Mega Zeraora ex, Mega Chandelure ex, and Mega Excadrill ex also play important roles in the set.

The expansion contains more than 115 cards, giving collectors plenty of cards to discover beyond the headline Mega Pokémon.

Some of the main themes include:

• Mega Darkrai ex
• Mega Zeraora ex
• Mega Chandelure ex
• Mega Excadrill ex
• Mega Evolution Pokémon ex
• Etched artwork
• Mega Hyper Rare cards
• Special illustration cards
• Pitch Black Pokémon TCG booster packs

This combination gives the expansion a strong visual identity while continuing the Mega Evolution era of the Pokémon TCG.

11 Pitch Black Pokemon Center Elite Trainer Box

One of the biggest differences between the Pokémon Center ETB and the standard version is the number of booster packs.

The Pitch Black Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box contains 11 booster packs. That is two more than the standard Pitch Black Elite Trainer Box, which contains nine packs.

Each booster pack provides randomized cards from the Mega Evolution—Pitch Black expansion.

Collectors may open the packs looking for Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, special artwork, or other higher-rarity cards.

However, booster packs are randomized. The 11 packs do not guarantee a specific card or rarity.

The additional packs make the Pokémon Center ETB particularly useful for collectors who want more opportunities to explore the expansion while purchasing a single premium product.

Exclusive Zarude Promo Cards

The Pokémon Center ETB includes two full-art foil Zarude promo cards.

One of these promos features the Pokémon Center logo, while the other is the standard version.

This is one of the defining features of the Pokémon Center edition.

The two promos also give collectors different ways to display the same featured Pokémon. One can be kept in a binder or used in a deck, while the Pokémon Center version can be preserved as a special promotional card.

The promo package includes:

• 1 full-art Zarude promo
• 1 full-art Zarude promo with Pokémon Center logo

The Pokémon Center logo distinguishes the special version from the standard promo.

65 Pitch Black Card Sleeves

The Elite Trainer Box includes 65 card sleeves.

Card sleeves are useful for protecting cards during Pokémon TCG gameplay. They can also be used to build a themed Mega Evolution deck.

The quantity is enough to sleeve a standard 60-card Pokémon TCG deck, with a few additional sleeves available as replacements.

For collectors, the sleeves can also be used to protect favorite Pitch Black cards inside a binder or storage collection.

40 Energy Cards

The Pitch Black Pokémon Center ETB contains 40 Pokémon TCG Energy cards.

Energy cards are essential for building many Pokémon TCG decks. Having a supply included in the ETB gives players additional cards to work with when experimenting with strategies.

The Energy cards can also be stored inside the included collector’s box after the booster packs have been opened.

Dice, Coin, and Condition Markers

The Pokémon Center ETB also includes several gameplay accessories.

These items are designed to help players manage the physical aspects of a Pokémon TCG match.

The box includes:

• 6 damage-counter dice
• 1 competition-legal coin-flip die
• 1 plastic Pokémon coin

These accessories can be used with the Pitch Black expansion or with other Pokémon TCG decks.

Because they are reusable, they can remain useful long after the booster packs have been opened.

Player’s Guide and Collector’s Box

The player’s guide is another useful part of the Pitch Black Pokémon Center ETB.

It provides information about the expansion and can help collectors explore the available cards. It is particularly useful for anyone who wants to build a checklist while opening booster packs.

The ETB also includes a collector’s box with six dividers.

The storage box can be used to organize:

• Pokémon cards
• Energy cards
• Sleeved cards
• Dice
• Condition markers
• Other Pokémon TCG accessories

The six dividers make it easier to separate different groups of cards.

Mega Darkrai ex and the Pitch Black Theme

Mega Darkrai ex is one of the central attractions of the Pitch Black expansion.

Darkrai has long been associated with dreams and nightmares in the Pokémon universe. The Pitch Black expansion builds on that identity with a darker Mega Evolution theme.

Pokémon describes Mega Darkrai as fueling opponents’ nightmares while Mega Zeraora brings powerful lightning attacks to the battlefield.

This creates a contrast between the featured Mega Pokémon.

Collectors can explore the set through different themes:

• Darkness and nightmares
• Lightning
• Ghostly designs
• Mega Evolution
• Powerful Pokémon ex
• Etched artwork

Etched Artwork and Mega Hyper Rare Cards

Pitch Black is not only about the Pokémon themselves. The expansion also introduces notable artwork treatments.

Pokémon highlights etched artwork on Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, giving these cards a distinctive visual appearance.

The expansion also features a Mega Hyper Rare Mega Darkrai ex.

These special treatments add another layer to collecting the set. Collectors can look beyond regular cards and explore the different artwork and rarity levels available in the expansion.

For fans of premium Pokémon card artwork, this is one of the major attractions of Mega Evolution—Pitch Black.

Pitch Black Pokemon Center Elite Trainer Box vs Standard ETB

The Pokémon Center and standard versions share many of the same accessories, but there are important differences.

Feature	Pitch Black ETB	Pitch Black Pokémon Center ETB
Booster Packs	9	11
Zarude Promos	1	2
Pokémon Center Logo Promo	No	Yes
Card Sleeves	65	65
Energy Cards	40	40
Damage Dice	6	6
Coin-Flip Die	1	1
Plastic Coin	Yes	Yes
Player’s Guide	Yes	Yes
Collector’s Box	Yes	Yes
Dividers	6	6
Pokémon TCG Live Code	Yes	Yes

The main product differences are the two additional booster packs and the second Zarude promo featuring the Pokémon Center logo.

Is the Pitch Black Pokemon Center Elite Trainer Box Good for Collectors?

The Pokémon Center ETB brings several collectible elements together in one product.

The two Zarude promos provide dedicated cards that are not simply random pulls from the booster packs. The Pokémon Center logo on one promo also clearly distinguishes it from the standard version.

The 11 booster packs then give collectors an opportunity to explore the wider Pitch Black card pool.

Collectors may be interested in the box because it contains:

• 11 sealed Pitch Black booster packs
• Two Zarude full-art promos
• A Pokémon Center logo promo
• Themed card sleeves
• Gameplay accessories
• A player’s guide
• A six-divider storage box

The product therefore works as both a sealed collection piece and an opening experience.

Is It Useful for Pokémon TCG Players?

The Pitch Black Pokemon Center Elite Trainer Box also contains several accessories that players can use.

The 65 sleeves can protect a standard deck. The 40 Energy cards provide additional deck-building resources. The dice and coin can be used during gameplay.

However, the ETB is not a complete ready-to-play deck.

The 11 booster packs contain randomized cards. Players who want to build a specific Mega Darkrai ex or Mega Zeraora ex deck may need additional cards.

The product is best viewed as a combination of booster packs, promotional cards, and gameplay accessories.

Why the Pokémon Center Version Stands Out

The Pokémon Center edition has two clear differences from the standard ETB: more booster packs and an additional promo.

Those details make the product easy to identify.

The exclusive Pokémon Center logo Zarude promo is especially important for collectors who like store-exclusive or retailer-exclusive promotional cards.

At the same time, the 11 booster packs provide more Pitch Black packs than the standard ETB.

This gives the Pokémon Center version a distinct identity within the Pitch Black product lineup.
